The overall performance of a computer embroidery will directly affect the quality,efficiency,artistic apperance and the unit cost of embroidery jobs,therefore,it is very important for the users especially the new users to know how to judge and select a good computer embroidery machine.
Here below are some suggestions according to our experience:
1)Frequency of Thread breakage and Needle breakage:
it is not the problem of a single part or unit of the machine which caused high frequency of thread breakage or needle breakage, it is a systemic problem of whole machine. Usually in real operation,when there are many thread breakage or needle breakage, the operator/technician normally will adjust one or some of the machine part to reduce the breakage, but it is a temporary solution only, it can not settle the problem completely and systemetically.
After several years development,now almost all china embroidery machine manufactures have settled this problem for normal embroidery. But the problem still exist when the machine is doing embroidery job on very thin fabric without backing or on very thick fabric like cap,3D embroidery ect. For these kind embroidery ,ther will have problems like thread burr,draw out the yarn,have bad shrink,crinkle,needle breakage etc.
Therefore, when selecting a computer embroidery machine, the users should judge whether the machine is suitalbe for different jobs and fabrics. If it is a real good machine, it can do all the jobs without these problems.
2)Frequency of Thread drop-off after Trimming
Currently, most of china embroidery machines have this problem. The first reason is the part quality. Many cheap price machines are using the cheap quality knife, during the machine using, it will create many problems, like can not cut the thread, causes the thread dropped from the needle, take a lot of time on debugging the machine. The second reason is some manufactures do not have good technics and theory on the trimming system. On this matter, there is a big difference between China machines and Japan machines comparing the machine stablity and machine life. So the trimming system is very important to an embroidery machine. The trimming performance of a machine somehow do shows it is a good machine or not .
3)Design Shrink
If a machine is not good, the embroidered design will have bad shrink when it is done on a thin fabric, and the needle holes seems to be very big. The needle holes is more serious on real leather materials. If seeing as backlighting, the design is arounding by holes line; if fold the leather down, the embroidery thread seems almost get off from the leather.
4)Tatami Effect
Tatami embroidery jobs by a good machine will have very good appearance. The stiches are very smooth and compact, it looks exquisite and shining. While the jobs done by not good machine will have big needle holes, and the stiches are not smooth. For plain binding embroidery, it is the same thing, a good machine can have smooth and shining embroidery effect, but the design done by a poor machine will have dogtooth on the both edges of binding and seems no shining.
5)Big lace Design connecting
Home textile products and lace product will often face the truth that the embroidery design need to be connected as they are very big and can not be done by the machine in one time. A good machine can settle this problem easily as it has perfect connection on square line and triangel line, even can not see the connecting point between head and head.
The user can have a simple test by embroidering a 5mm plain binding line from left to right direction, then immediately he can judge whether the machine is good or not for bedding products and lace products.
6)Continuous Stable Working and High Efficiency
In many people’s mind, high machine speed means high efficiency. In fact ,the understanding is not exactly correct. High efficiency should be created by the continuous stable performance under a higher speed and subject to the embroidery job quality is good. In real operation, every user always hope that machine speed the higher the better. But actually, nowadays the speed of China embroidery machine is normally keep at 750-850rpm, if the machine can have a continuous stable performance and good quality output under this speed range, it is a already excellent.
